There’s a $3 trillion problem in modern software companies: product and go-to-market teams often aren’t speaking the same language. Customer feedback gets lost in Slack threads, product requests vanish into spreadsheets, and roadmap decisions are made based on gut feel rather than real revenue impact.

Bagel AI, a San Francisco-based startup, is tackling this issue head-on. They just announced a $5.5 million seed round. CS Angel backed their pre-seed and is proud to continue to back them in this seed round to build a platform that brings customer-facing and product teams onto the same page. Their solution is designed to unify customer feedback, analyze it at scale, and connect it directly to revenue data, helping teams prioritize what truly matters.
Bagel AI’s technology integrates with systems like Jira, Salesforce, Gong, Zendesk, and others to automatically capture and categorize feedback across multiple channels. That data is then distilled into themes, scored by business impact, and served up in a way that allows teams to make smarter, faster product decisions.
Since their last seed round, the Bagel AI team has developed customer-tailored AI models that automatically transform scattered feedback and customer data into powerful tools to inform product decision-making. Bagel AI users are then able to identify product gaps, customer pain points, and emerging trends. The platform then helps align product strategy with real business impact.
This type of solution is deeply valuable for many in the SaaS space. Gemma Cipriani-Espineira, founder of CS Angel, said she has yet to meet a CS leader who hasn’t experienced this exact challenge. She explained that Bagel AI’s platform allows companies to prioritize their product roadmaps based on both revenue impact and customer needs. This is something she believes every SaaS company should be doing.
Gemma also had this to say about the value Bagel AI brings to the table: “Every company wants to be customer-centric, but too often, the loudest voices or highest spending customers win over the broader customer base. This leads to misaligned roadmaps and burnt out CSMs. Bagel AI fixes this with a smarter way to prioritize and scale customer requests. We’ve seen their impact firsthand and are excited to back them in this next stage of growth.”
For Customer Success leaders, the pain is real. Product teams are hungry for concrete evidence that can help guide roadmap priorities. But as Chad Horenfeldt, VP of Customer Success at Siena AI and CS Angel investor of Bagel AI, pointed out, gathering and synthesizing that feedback is a heavy lift. CS leaders often don’t have the bandwidth to package up insights in a way that’s easily digestible by product teams. This leads to decisions driven more by instinct than data, which in turn causes product leaders to discount CS input. According to Chad, Bagel AI alleviates this issue by amalgamating feedback from various sources and distilling it down into the most important items. It’s become a must-have for teams that want to make sure they’re building the right features for the right customers at the right time.
Ezra Zimbler of Ezra Zimbler Consulting and a valued member of CS Angel echoed a similar sentiment, saying that the ability to quantify product feedback with a revenue figure is crucial. When companies can do that, it becomes much easier for customer-facing and product teams to align, speak the same language, and focus on the right enhancements. Ezra believes Bagel AI is well-positioned to help drive innovation across those often-siloed functions.
Investors see Bagel AI as more than just another SaaS tool. Nick Craig, Sr. Manager of Strategic Accounts at mParticle and a valued CS Angel, noted that one of the most critical needs for companies today is ensuring that product features are closely aligned with revenue generation. Bagel AI, he said, excels at helping companies create a continuous feedback loop between product and commercial teams, allowing for agile and informed development.
Founded in 2022 by Ohad Biron (CEO), Itai Danino (CTO), and Yuval Nachman (CPO), Bagel AI plans to use the funding to grow its go-to-market team, expand customer adoption, and continue enhancing its technology. Ohad described the mission as a shift away from the old growth-at-all-costs playbook toward smarter, more sustainable growth. He believes that by helping teams pinpoint exactly what customers need, Bagel AI can drive better outcomes for both the business and its users.
With this latest round of funding and growing demand for tighter alignment between customer and product teams, Bagel AI is positioning itself as the nerve center of modern product development and to become the Product Intelligence Platform for the whole company
